MODE is a project born from a deep love for small clothing brands, many of which most people have never heard of. Their collections can be much more focused than their designer and fast fashion counterparts, and have more unique aesthetics plus better quality for the money you pay (not to mention supporting up‑and‑coming designers!). However, finding these small brands is an incredibly time‑consuming process.
The problem
You have to spend hours scrolling Instagram and Reddit, reading niche substacks, or begging internet strangers to ungatekeep where they got their items. All this work, with zero guarantee that you didn’t waste your time. Then cue all the usual work of trying to figure out if an item or brand fits into your wardrobe. At MODE, we want to turn that exhausting experience into something more like this:
